Dr. Hamid Tajbakhsh is a licensed naturopathic doctor in BC and is the founder and owner of Metrotown Naturopathic located in Burnaby. Dr. Hamid has always been passionate about the healing and self-correcting mechanisms of the human body. Dr. Hamid is very excited to have the pleasure of serving the Burnaby community, a community he has been a part of since childhood.
Dr. Hamid graduated from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine and was awarded the Academic Excellence Award. Previously, he had completed his post-secondary education at UBC majoring in Biology with a minor in Psychology after being awarded an entrance scholarship into his program of studies.
Dr. Hamid has always been interested in furthering his education and has taken on extra-curricular programs and focus areas such as delving deeper into the studies of Chinese medicine and acupuncture. Dr. Hamid applies a gentle approach to acupuncture ensuring utilization of a minimal number of needles with no excessive needle manipulation.
Dr. Hamid is also well versed in fascial techniques such as Bowen Therapy and CranioSacral Therapy which are gentle non-invasive procedures designed to normalize body functions and help break the body out of repetitive pain patterns. These techniques coupled with Eastern & Western herbal formulas, and nutritional optimization allow Dr. Hamid the ability to facilitate healing and provide exceptional care to his patients.

Memberships and Affiliations
Dr. Hamid is a registrant of the College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia (CNPBC) where he also served as an assessor to the Quality Assurance Committee and helped maintain a high practice standard for Naturopathic Doctors in BC. Currently, Dr. Hamid is a member of the CNPBC Examination Committee.
Dr. Hamid is a member of the British Columbia Naturopathic Association (BCNA) and a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND).
Dr. Hamid is on the medical consultancy team at Vita Aid Professional Therapeutics which is a professional brand nutraceutical company.
Dr. Hamid also served as an adjunct clinical faculty member at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine (BINM) where he supervised 3rd and 4th year naturopathic clinic interns.
